A Love Story
The Beginning
During a weekend away from NYC, Anastasia found herself in Chicago visiting friends and family. On Saturday evening, she joined a friend at a local concert that was hosted by Brandon. The two hit it off immediately after finding a mutual love of the mountains. The following day they met for a date that lasted 12-hours - discussing everything from rock climbing to their two favorite movies (“Say Anything” & “The Princess Bride”). When she left, she immediately called her best friend to let her know that she met the man she was going to marry.
A Storybook Story
Brandon and Anastasia both knew they had met someone special. While he was plotting a way to stealthily bump into her in NYC, she sent him a hardback version of ‘The Princess Bride’. From there and despite the distance, there were both in. After accumulating many miles traveling between the cities, Anastasia finally took the plunge and moved to Chicago in October 2020.
A Whirlwind Year
Shortly after settling in Chicago, Anastasia and Brandon were dealt the unexpected with Covid. Making the best of it, the couple left Chicago and spent much of 2020 driving between Nebraska and Colorado, and getting closer to each other’s families. In the whirlwind, they added to their family with another Cavalier King Charles named Wesley (from the Princess Bride)! This period of time allowed them to experience adventures together - hiking, fishing, camping, and pasta making - bringing them even closer together.
A Romantic Beginning
In January 2021, Brandon surprised Anastasia and popped the question in Palm Beach, Florida, while surrounded by family. After two and a half years, he knew she was the one that he wanted to continue to experience life’s adventures with… and they have! In August 2021, Anastasia and Brandon committed to calling Boulder home and are permanently settling in as Colorado residents.
